Math
The class continues to work on division. Students have divided by 0, 1, 2, 3,  5, and 10. Please continue to work on the basic facts at home.

Science
Students will finish the unit on the solar system this week. Third graders will next learn about keeping the human body healthy. Student will learn about different body systems.

Reading/Language Arts
This week the class read "Sarah, Plain and Tall" by Patricia MacLachlan. In this historical fiction story, Papa, who lives on a prairie farm puts an advertisement in newspaper looking for a wife. Sarah, who is from Maine, answers the advertisement. She comes to visit the family. Anna and Caleb worry about Sarah missing the sea. The comprehension skill covered story structure. Students worked on the word endings -ing and -ed as the phonics skills. The vocabulary skill focused on the prefix of non-.  The class continued to work on adverbs in grammar. Students used adverbs to compare.

The results of the lesson 20 and benchmark test have been included in the take home folder.
