Reading/Language Arts
This week the third grade class the story The Harvest Birds by Blanca Guadalupe Lopez Morales. This folktale follows Juan following his dream to be a farmer. Most people in the town laugh Juan's dream, except for Grandpa Chon who gives Juan some land to see if he is able to have a bountiful harvest. Along with the zanate birds, Juan proves that dreams can come true with hard work and a belief in yourself.

The results of the lesson 7 weekly assessment have been included in the take home folder.

Next week the class will NOT be moving ahead in the reading series. There will be no spelling or weekly assessment since there are only 3 days of school next week.
