Reading/Language Arts
The class is reading a realistic fiction selection called "Saving Buster." In this story, a service dog is injured after getting hit by a car. The dog needs surgery, but the owners are not able to afford it. The young neighbor boy, Donovan, comes up with a way to help the family raise money. The comprehension skill focused on conclusions and questioning. Students worked on compound words as the vocabulary strategy. The phonics skill covered the schwa sound. The grammar skill reviewed pronouns.

The lesson 29 weekly assessment results have been included in the take home folder.

During the week of May 21st, there will be an end of the year spelling test. One word from each list will be on the list, so there will be thirty words.
